My name is Will, I work for The American Military Museum in South El Monte, Ca. We are a 501c3 NPO. We have in our posession, still owned by the Army, the above helocopter. It has zero airframe time left and is a display piece only, sadly never to fly again. The contract with the Army states that we must keep the piece looking good. It is time for a regular chemical overhaul. In doing this, we have decided to TRY and find some stupid small parts to keep things looking good.
Parts we are in search of are;
1 rooftop marker light lens.
Pilot and Co-Pilot seat covers.
Crew seat bottom..we have the frame.
Pilot and Co-Pilot collective grips...these were missing when rec'd from the Army, we put game console grips on but the heat killed them in short order.
We have a VREY tight budget, however, we can issue a tax deduction for the donation.
If you or anyone you know of can help us out, that would be great!
Who we are,
My first suggestion is to speak to the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation, my contact there is Graham Worrell, email nascargraham@yahoo.com phone number 678-673-7777. I would suggest looking at their site before making contact and to make contact with them directly if you are unable to make contact with Graham.
If the Heritage Foundation does not work, here are some commercial contacts you could try who may have some information to assist you, please let them know you were referred by UH1OPS:
Joe Gianni jlgiannini@midwestaeroltd.com 219-688-5142 INDIANA/ARIZONA
Mat Rice helirice@yahoo.com 530-305-2665 CALIFORNIA
Jon Boucher jcb1058@outlook.com 520-907-5021 ARIZONA
Jay Bugli thi204mt@yahoo.com 406-777-0144 MONTANA
If you still are unable to find the information you are seeking, reach out again and I will send you more contacts.
Would love to see pictures from your restoration along with the serial number for the airframe.
Cheers
