Good day to all! I am one of the personnel maintaining UH-1H and we have 30 UH1s in our fleet. Does anybody have ideas or references why the Main rotor (metal) blades we procure and use has differences in weight and length? We are encountering problems on the matching of Main rotor blades as this will cause aircraft vibration. Some blades have different locations on where the trim tab is located. Those blades are HTC's PMA blades alternate for Bell's blades 204-011-250-113.

Answer to blades. Check the blade part number The only two blades for the standard UH-1H are 204-011-250-113 metal blade and 205-015-150-101 composite blade as far as military blades.
Blade part number 204-011-001-15 used on the shorter 204 B,F air- frame. Part number 540-015-001-7 was used on 204 C & M gun ships. There were UH-1's made all around the world. I have no information on possible other blades.
Do not be confused by weights attached to the inboard end of the blade as they will differ. These weights are used to balance the blade to a master blade at certified blade repair shops and the manufacture so that they balanced span and cord wise. Each blade will be of different overall weight but within tolerance. This of course only works if the blade is serviceable.
